Claude Studio by PM is a free extension for Google Antigravity, VS Code and Cursor that makes working with the Claude agent safer and faster. Every file Claude edits opens in your editor automatically, every change is saved by task so you can review or undo it, and your work can go straight to your server over SFTP or FTP — plus usage and cost tracking, a skills manager and notifications with sounds, all from one sidebar.

Why I built Claude Studio

When the Claude agent works inside your editor, it changes files on disk — but you don’t always see which files or what changed. Antigravity’s own agent opens each file it edits; the Claude agent doesn’t. Claude Studio fixes that, then goes further: it keeps a history of every change so you can check it, undo it, and upload it to your server in a click.

Features

👁 Auto-open every file Claude edits

  • Opens each file Claude edits or creates, scrolls to the first change and highlights the changed lines.
  • Keeps your cursor in the Claude chat and never covers the chat tab.
  • Green markers stay beside changed lines until you review the file.
  • Ignores your own saves and bulk changes like git checkout, composer or npm install.
  • Tab limit, close all tabs Claude opened, pause for 10/30/60 minutes, per-project on/off.

🔍 Review and undo Claude’s work

  • Changes panel — every file Claude touched, grouped by task, with lines added and removed.
  • Show diff — a before/after view of any change.
  • Undo one file or undo a whole task in one click.
  • Checkpoints — save a point before a big task and revert everything Claude changed after it.
  • Copy task summary for your commit message or client report.

✅ PHP syntax check

Runs php -l on every PHP file Claude edits and shows errors in the Problems panel with a jump-to-line button — perfect for CodeIgniter, Laravel and WordPress projects.

☁️ Built-in SFTP / FTP / FTPS upload

  • Uses your existing .vscode/sftp.json (same format as the popular SFTP extension) — no other extension needed.
  • Uploads Claude’s edits automatically as each file is finished, or all together when the task ends.
  • Upload on save, download from server, compare local vs server, switch profiles (dev / prod).
  • Blocks PHP files with syntax errors so a broken file never reaches your live site.
  • Always asks before uploading to production.

📊 Claude usage & cost

A status bar like 5h:12% 7d:44% | project:$4.20, a dashboard with a 30-day cost chart, usage by hour, model and project, plus daily and weekly budget alerts. Costs are estimated locally from Claude Code’s logs using Anthropic’s published prices.

✨ Skills manager

See your personal and project Claude skills, enable, disable or delete them, create new ones from a template, and browse and install skills from multiple sources — GitHub repositories (Anthropic’s official skills repo is built in), links, folders and .zip files — with a full preview before you install.

🔔 Notifications with your own sounds

Get a pop-up when Claude finishes a task — with Review, Undo task, Upload and Copy summary buttons — and a notification history panel. Pick from six built-in sounds or use your own .wav or .mp3 for each event, with Do Not Disturb when you need focus.

🔄 Browser live reload

Your local site reloads automatically after PHP, HTML or JS changes, and CSS updates without a full reload.

How to install

  1. Download claude-studio-2.0.0.vsix from the GitHub release page.
  2. In Antigravity, VS Code or Cursor, open the Extensions panel (Ctrl+Shift+X).
  3. Click the ··· menu at the top and choose Install from VSIX…, then pick the downloaded file.
  4. Reload the window. Click the Claude Studio icon in the side bar, and ask Claude to change something — the file opens on its own.

Server upload in 1 minute

Already use the SFTP extension? Claude Studio reads the same file, so you’re done. Otherwise click Uploads → Set Up Server and fill in:

{
    "name": "My Server",
    "protocol": "sftp",
    "host": "example.com",
    "port": 22,
    "username": "username",
    "remotePath": "/public_html",
    "uploadOnSave": true,
    "profiles": {
        "dev":  { "remotePath": "/staging" },
        "prod": { "remotePath": "/public_html" }
    },
    "defaultProfile": "dev"
}

Leave the password out — Claude Studio asks once and keeps it in your computer’s secure storage.

Security & privacy

  • No tracking — Claude Studio collects no data about you or your code.
  • Passwords and tokens are kept in Windows Credential Manager / macOS Keychain, never in plain text.
  • SSH server keys are verified, and FTPS certificates are checked.
  • In untrusted folders, uploads and scripts stay off until you trust the folder.
  • Skills are previewed before install, with any scripts clearly marked.
